Jarle Thorsen Puts the Spotlight on Successful Businesswomen

Jarle Thorsen is known for founding Unaico nine years ago and running it successfully since then. He has contacts all over the world, from Hong Kong to Sao Paolo, and is known to be fully committed to everything that he does. He is even fabled to have taken a call from one of his exergonix envestors when on vacation visiting the Great Pyramid of Egypt! But he believes the true power in business lies in its inclusivity. He believes that money can only truly be made if there is equality between business owners. And this means a greater spotlight has to be placed on businesswomen as well.

Jarle Thorsen on the Importance of Businesswomen

The glass ceiling is slowly but surely being shattered by women all over the world. They have truly proven that they have what it takes to be successful in business. However, women continue to face some very specific challenges and it is down to everybody in business, regardless of gender, to resolve these. Thorsen Always encourages business people to read about successful women. The internet is a fantastic resource for this but there are also some excellent biographies and memoirs on women who have been there and done that. They include Sheryl Sandberg, Anne-Marie Slaughter, and Hillary Clinton, for instance.

A little bit of research will show that women have a presence in all walks of life and business, and they have done so throughout history. Because of the oppression of women however, it is a lot more common for them to have taken note of the things they did right, the challenges they faced, and how they overcame these. Women are keen to share the education they obtained, where they worked comma how they found their information, and more.

What Thorsen is particularly encouraged by is the fact that women are finally entering the areas in which they have traditionally been underrepresented. Those include computer science, mathematics, technology, engineering, and science. Because there is such a need for women to enter these areas, governments across the world are putting incentives in place to attract them. This includes offering grants and scholarship programs, which women should take advantage of if they can.

Perhaps one of the most positive developments is that women no longer have to choose between running a family or running a business. They can do both if that is what they want. However, if they do choose to do both, it is hugely important that they find a balanced that works for them and for their family. Unfortunately, service and studies continue to show that the majority of women leave employment because their work conflicts with their family demands or because they’re business does not understand that parenthood comes with certain demands. This is an issue that clearly still needs resolving and all people in business, regardless of gender and regardless of their beliefs of how much time an individual should spend with their family, should come together in making sure that everybody has the opportunity to further themselves. After all, this will have a positive impact on the economy as a whole.
