Visiting the top attractions in London need not be expensive. There are plenty of ways to save money, from 2-in-1 offers to discounts online. Sometimes it just takes a little planning and being in the know. Here are some useful tips to make your next day out in London that little bit less expensive.

City sightseeing card

A city sightseeing pass is a good way to discover London while saving you time and money and make your trip convenient and hassle free. The card allows visitors to access popular tourist attractions such as museums, art galleries and monuments in London. The duration of the card varies from one day to more than a week. Choose one that matches your trip.

Free or reduced rates

Some of London’s museums and galleries are free on certain days of the week or cheaper if you visit during a certain time of the day. However, you need to pay an admission fee for some ‘must see’ attractions. Entry to some attractions is also cheaper during midweek than on weekends.

Some attractions may offer free entry for children aged under two or discounted rates for children and families or people in their sixties or older.

Book in advance and online

If you book well ahead and online, you may get a better deal. If you look online first, you can get discount on admission to family attractions such as on Ripley’s London tickets. Some discounts vary depending on how far in advance you book.

2-in-1 offers

An easy way to save money is to buy one ticket and get another free on some London tourist attraction entrance fees. In addition to museums and galleries, 2-in-1 offers are also available on some boat trips and guided tours.

Combi ticket

A combi ticket allows you to visit two or more London’s top attractions at a cheaper price than buying each ticket individually. You can visit the attractions on separate days.

Meal package

Another way to save money is to buy a meal package that combine tickets to London’s tourist attractions and a meal.

These money-saving tips will make your London day out affordable and fun. Best of all, you won’t have missed out on some of the major attractions that this famous city has to offer.
